Cosmic Report: Nodal Precession and the Path to Personal Growth
Lunar Nodes passing through Aries and Libra 17 July, 2023 – 11 January, 2025
On July 17, 2023, the North Node of the Moon moved into Aries, and the South Node entered Libra.
The Moon's Nodes, known for marking the periods of eclipses, have recently shifted into a new axis on the astrological wheel.
The North Node has moved into Aries, igniting action and driving proactivity toward accomplishment, while the South Node has entered Libra, where the need to please others is on its way out.
Over the next 18 months, we'll be living out the themes associated with these zodiac archetypes.
In your birth chart, the North Node represents an insatiable desire for your dreams and goals, no matter how much you strive to achieve them. On the other hand, the South Node, though more familiar, can lead to stagnation. To evolve, it's essential to engage in proper renouncement, rebirthing, and releasing as part of your personal growth journey.
We rejuvenate in our South Nodes, but only to reenergise ourselves for the adventures that lie ahead.
When New or Full Moons occur near the North or South Node (approximately every 6 months), the luminaries are temporarily dimmed. Ancient wisdom sees these points as danger zones.
This shift suggests a collective move toward greater self-autonomy, with the potential to act as natural-born leaders setting a healthy example. However, it's important for everyone to play a humble yet active role in acknowledging authority while working for the greater good.
On 17 July 2023, the North Node of the Moon entered Aries, while the South Node entered Libra. Loosely translating to collectively moving towards more self-autonomy while, acting as natural born leaders in direction of healthy example. Though everyone needs to be playing a humble, yet active role in acknowledging authority while creating good for the whole.

When the lunar nodes change signs, a new learning journey unfolds in the areas of your natal chart connected with those signs. Wherever Aries and Libra are placed in your chart, these will become your focused house themes for the next 18 months, offering opportunities to unlock the power inherent in these astrological aspects.
On a collective level, the North Node in fiery Aries inspires courage and a strong yearning for novelty and creativity, while the South Node in liberating Libra encourages the release of burdens that no longer belong to us, particularly in the realm of relationships and addressing social injustices.
Moving Modalities: from Fixed to Cardinal
The transition in the zodiac signs, moving from Taurus and Scorpio to Aries and Libra, also brings a change in modalities.
In astrology, there are three sign modalities: cardinal, fixed, and mutable.
Taurus and Scorpio both belong to the fixed signs, reflecting a steadfast and dedicated energy, often seen through a commitment to completing long-standing projects.
On the other hand, Aries and Libra fall under the cardinal signs, marking the beginning of a new nodal season. The lunar nodes will move into mutable signs Pisces and Virgo in 2025 as the cycle repeats, but in reverse on the astrological wheel.
The lunar nodes are, by nature, polar opposites, and it's crucial for us to find a balanced path on our journeys.
Are you willing to have a-go at trailblazing a new norm?
During this nodal precession, we can expect eclipses on the following dates:
Solar eclipse in Libra on October 14, 2023.
Lunar eclipse in Taurus on October 28, 2023.
Lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25, 2024.
Solar eclipse in Aries on April 8, 2024.
Lunar eclipse in Pisces on September 17, 2024.
Solar eclipse in Libra on October 2, 2024.
Now, how does this impact you?
Do you have a natal North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra?
Will you be aged 18, 36, 54, or 72 during this 18-month period?
Reflect on the themes present in your life from the end of 2004 to the middle of 2006.
If you fall within these specific age ranges, you're experiencing your nodal return.
It's a time to seek balance between your individual drive and personal relationships. Make a list of what contributes to your personal growth and development, and compare it to what (or who) negatively affects your well-being.
The return of the lunar nodes to their place in our natal chart occurs every 18 years, making these ages significant times for personal growth.
