Cosmic Report: January Full 'Wolf' Moon ♑️ ☀️ ♋️ 🌝
"Stay-at-Home-Moon" works for me!
Hello 2023. Are we feeling fine within this first week of the Gregorian year?
PROCESSING
Year-end can bring us anxiety because we feel like we haven’t accomplished enough. Embracing societal norms to do more, produce more, rings true - especially in a capitalistic driven holiday season.
If this is true for you, try to give yourself a break and accept that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. The cosmic Uni will prevail as long as your intentions are aligned with your intuition. Though, this can be something not always easy to do.
The last New Moon in Capricorn energy established a sense of family, of structure, of solidity, of discipline and commitment. We're now in the peak of that energy, though our Moon is observed this weekend in Cancer. Meaning it’s time to enjoy being home and embracing stillness; or at a minimum, extra rest.
In making peace with the endings in our lives, we see them as necessary transitions for personal growth. Endings are the last step before a new beginning can occur. When we recognise this as part of a growth cycle via a learning experience, we become more accepting and grateful for our own seasons of life.
This January’s Full Moon in Cancer is encouraging us to rest and stay close to the comforts of our home while restoring our energy that is needed to carry us through the dark winter month ahead.
We deserve this stillness and introverted period of silence.
FOCUS
Now is the time cultivate moments to soften while reconfirming our boundaries. With this strong cardinal (innate leadership) modality energy, aligned with the current transits for the next two weeks, let’s collectively concentrate on the following:
How can I create more solidity in emotional ties?
Where do I want to invest my emotions moving forward?
Who am I currently committed to (emotionally, financially, physically) and who do I want to stay committed to moving forward?
SELF-CARE
Using mantras or daily affirmations are helpful in programming the brain with a positive mindset. For me maintaining a positive mindset is difficult due to my nature of chronic depression.
I require to keep things simple such as sticking a post-it note of a random inspiring quote up on a wall in my home, or phrase on a meme that comes my way.
I try to practice one activity of self-care per day as part of my own habit evolution carried over from when the pandemic began. These activities I find hard to make time for, and the reasons why vary. I will share more about this in future posts as learnings have been massive while positively impacting my mental health.
MANTRA
As a Cancer Mama, I use this go-to for my kids. Easy to remember when things are feeling incredibly tough and you need to soften up a bit:
"I am Safe. I am Loved. I am Protected.”

RITUAL
I highly recommend starting a journaling practice. Yeah, right…WHO has time for that?!
Well you’re already doing this in some capacity by writing down your grocery lists, to-do lists, making personal notes in your devices etc. Why not get structured about this. Instead of handling just your admin, keep some pages free for your personal goals.
Start with the 3 points mentioned above. A journal can be a device, not ideal, but a great starting point to align intentions.
WITCHY TIP:
For this month, we remain focused on matters of house & home. A little trick passed down from the Elders is to place a broom upside down by your front door when you’re ready for your guests to leave. Give it a try, but be sure to set your mental (and private!) intention first.
