I’m still over here mourning the collective loss of Sinead’s passing. Her music is important to me for various emotional attachments I can’t seem to let go.
I feel like if the world showed as much respect for Sinead's celebration of life before her death, while she remained a consistently active resister, maybe she wouldn't have had so many mental health problems.
If we are all just products of the society we are growing in, wouldn’t it resonate that she acted in direct response of her environment, leaving her to be the normal one all along?
When I learned of Robin Williams’ death, I mentioned to others in shock of his sudden passing, “yeah, that makes sense as his genius was also his insanity…”
I feel like this mindset is a valid case behind many of our mental health ailments. I quite like to think the performer Sinead O’Connor, later known as, Shuhada Sadaqat, was as just a sane person living in an insane world.
Regardless, she was always right.
Found this snazzy article written by fellow Substacker which is a beautiful presentation of Sinead’s music as told in the Zodiac. Complete with a transcript in song review from Aries to Pisces. FAB!

I was so inspired that I created this Spotify playlist to accompany with. I’m considering leaving Spotify as it starts to feel more gimmicky lately, plus price hike. Lemme know your favorite non-mainstream platform in comments.
Thank you hearing me.
Thank you for loving me.
Thank you for seeing me
And for not leaving me.
Thank you for staying with me.
Thanks for not hurting me.
You are gentle with me.
Thanks for silence with me.
Thank you for holding me
And saying I could be
Thank you for saying “baby”
Thank you for holding me.
Thank you for helping me.
Thank you for breaking my heart.
Thank you for tearing me apart.
Now I’m a strong strong heart.
Thank you for breaking my heart.
Rest. In. Peace. Dear Sister Resister
Namaste xx
