Living your yoga: When is the last time you took care of yourself?
I'm teaching yoga again and ready to discuss this topic.
At the start of the pandemic, the collective feeling was of anxious uncertainty.
One shocking headline after another left us feeling emotionally traumatised and overstimulated.
Our senses were in overload from the amount of change we were required to undergo in a short period of time.
Many found themselves in a place of deep assessment in figuring out a new healthier pace in routine and structure. Some of us, like myself, were found hitting our own version of rockbottom 🌀
As the pandemic still lingers, the sense of urgency is driving us to be more mindful of how we treat our bodies and apply rest during these modern day times.
Tomorrow evening from 20.00-22.00 I can be found at Womanhood Studio in Delft for a donation based workshop offering restorative yoga which is open to all levels, giving you a perfect opportunity to allow for guided rest and restoration.
Am eager to share some findings in treating our parasympathetic nervous system to positively sustain our mental health during these challenges times.
Remember back in the day when we used to gather on weekend evenings to go wild and crazy? This is an alternative to that. It’s like sponsored nap time for adults, who wouldn’t want to be a part of that!
This post comes a bit late, though has already been spread over the socials. Happy to receive you in whatever mental capacity you’re currently navigating.
The event is to provide a safe nurturing space where we will learn how to move our bodies to facilitate conscious rest.

Who am I?! I’m a #RYT200 who left behind a traditional lifestyle and career due to a heavy burnout from keeping up with the demands of capitalism.
During the pandemic, I returned to restful practices while integrating subtle #somatic movement with a side of astrology studies in supporting mental health.
“Magically” I was able to loose 45 kilos in nine months morphing back into my twenty year old self by applying some basic principles I used in my early 20s to treat depression. These simple principles I’ve embedded into my daily habits and routine which involved very little effort but did require a mindset change.
