The Ides of March has long served as a powerful symbol of power struggles, political backstabbing, and sudden upheavals—themes that feel uncannily relevant today. More of my predictive astro bullshit is found beyond the paywall for my most Loyal Subjects!
Historically, it marks the assassination of Julius Caesar, a pivotal moment that reshaped Rome’s future. But beyond its historical weight, the Ides of March represents a deeper cosmic shift, associated with betrayal, collapse, and forced transformation—energies that are particularly amplified this year due to major astrological transits, including Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune shifting into Aries later this month, and the upcoming eclipses1).
While it’s difficult to predict exactly how an eclipse will influence global events, nations, or individuals, astrology offers clues. Each eclipse carries a distinct energy depending on its astrological sign, and in personal astrology, the impact is felt strongest in the house it is activated within your natal chart.
The Aries-Libra eclipse cycle, which began in 2023, is now reaching completion with the final New Aries Moon coming up on March 29, 2025. Meanwhile, the Pisces-Virgo nodal cycle, which began in January 2025, officially kicks off with this week’s Virgo Full Moon lunar eclipse—marking the first eclipse in an 18-month journey of collective transformation. The themes that emerge now will set the tone for the months ahead. Which is STUPID CRAZY since astrologers this month everywhere be like: “EVERYONE BE PREPARED!!!”
A South Node Lunar Eclipse: Clearing the Past
This first eclipse, paired with the Full Moon in Virgo, is karmically tied to the past—an invitation to release what no longer serves us.
Each year, we experience four eclipses, two of which are South Node eclipses, signalling closures, endings, and karmic release. These moments don’t happen every day—they bring unresolved patterns from our past, upbringing, or ancestral lineage to the surface.
This Virgo South Node eclipse offers an opportunity to declutter—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether it’s outdated beliefs, toxic relationships, or unhealthy habits, now is the time to let go.
Adding to this intensity, Venus is making a significant transit in retrograde this month, further urging us to re-evaluate relationships, values, and personal desires.

This eclipse is particularly significant if you were born on: March 11–15 and Sept. 13–16.
