Cheers from Delft, Netherlands.
On Wednesday 23 August, Mercury stations (stands still) for its retrograde phase where it transits until 15 September.
The inclination for this Mercury retrograde in Virgo is to make sense of the insensible; to sort out the clutter from the useful from the junk.
We all have a tendency to fill our heads with bits of random information, further compounded with emotions and feelings that are embedded in our minds. We can clog up these air waves linking our hearts or conscious sense, to our mind, which taunt us with distractions.
Thankfully Mercury in Virgo is here to do its good work, clearing out unwanted trash and ironing out wrinkles from your mind. But in retrograde, this can seem like a daunting task.
At the moment, I am busy making audio clips in building content. The call from my audience, who are namely non-astro followers, is “Hey Audra, can you make your content easier for me to take in? I don’t have time to read and absorb all this metaphysical stuff!”
Yeah sure, but… 1) my goals include up-skilling my writing while defining a tone in a brand …
b) being animated in any capacity, isn’t easy for me …
… and 3) maybe consider you’re operating at a level of stress that doesn’t allow you to take in any more information?
I’m reluctant to share my voice with strangers. An insecurity I’ve worked to overcome from my youth. Also, I truly suck at editing and figuring out technology behind making digital content. Such things are simply are not in my interest to spend in creative efforts. Lastly, I just really really REALLY love to put my emotions out as words onto paper. It’s cathartic for me. It is what I’m passionate about!
While I’m happy to read what I’ve written and form this into a make-shift audio that is somewhat digestible - listeners, please accept my apologies for creating mediocre digital content. Nevertheless, here we are….
Let me know if you’ve picked up anything new. The learnings do not need to pertain to only the astrology content showcased here.
Quick landing points for Mercury retrograding…summarised
During these Mercury retrograde cycles, it’s not the best time to make definite commitments, or major decisions.
The signs most impacted are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. When Mercury returns to its direct phase mid-September, you will sense your perspective shifting again, while thinking or actions start to feel more productive.
Flexibility and receptivity are key for these phases. From 23 August through 15 September 2023, plan time by turning ON your mind’s OBSERVER function.
Be aware of where you are focusing your thoughts, and be honest about whether your mindset is productive. Call out your mistakes and move on with better planning. If low on energy, take REST.
During this period while focusing on fulfilment, ask yourself:
What am I committed to?
Are my thoughts yielding actionable results, or are they defeating me and misusing my time?
Where is my main focus right now?
Instead of actioning on anything immediately, sit and reflect with your answers during this retrograde period. Only moving ahead with what you know is quickly transactional for your own productivity. Reflect on how to grow your thoughts and ideas with a clear structure.
Retrograde (Re)minders
Finish projects, tie up loose ends, and tackle the chores and paperwork that you have been avoiding.
The retrograde phases are great for (re)visiting all the (re)’s: reunions, reviewing, reflecting and RESTING.
If feeling anxious or over-extended, make time for inner reflection and remember to breathe.
Did you know I have a Newsletter?
