Cosmic Report: New Moon in Aquarius

STORYTIME!
This one time I applied for/and took a job interview based on a gut feeling and a hunch.
Logistically, all flowed smoothly but I had very little emotional attachment to landing the job. I was a temporary admin assistant at the time, and was being hired in only a temporary role.
On the day of the job interview, after testing and initial assessments (which I was kinda surprised I actually passed), the hiring manager started off our convo with "Sorry, for the safety-vest-over-the-suit-look, but it's Annual Global Safety Day today, and I'm doing my part to suit up and show up."
Me processing that comment, deciding what I should say next… 💭
"That's cool, I grew up under cars on greasy floors and learned much about safety at a young age. My weekends were often spent on used car lots and at auctions. Do you know what a used car lot is? We don’t really have this concept here in Europe, it’s quite American. There are only car dealerships here, and they are not the same thing." I replied.
…I could have just offered praise instead and kept things briefer in contextual reference. But that’s simply not my style.
The hiring manager made eye contact for the first time and said "So you know about cars?"
... a lil'... I responded.
I don't recall the specifics that followed, but we didn't actually discuss the role I was applying to until the end of our conversation which we managed to cover in completion during the last five minutes of our conversation. The rest was handled by HR recruiters and we quickly agreed a start date for a temp contract.
That hiring manager ended up being my favorite boss of all time, namely because we are polar opposites, and I like a good challenge while in work mode. Seven long and arduous years we had together. And then, after amicably parting ways with a natural split in our careers, we remained in contact, but as friends.
A ‘self-assigned rule’ I have is that I’ve learned it takes a proper 6 months to get to know a person, and at least 6 weeks to make a life-altering decision. This was influenced by observing the way my boss worked.
As I can be rather impulsive, I like to surround myself with people who aren't that way. This keeps me grounded in my body, while making sound decisions in mind. I also learned how to keep confidence and, was taught the importance of valuing people over profit. He didn’t actually teach me these things, he just lived those values. A Virgo Sun, Capricorn Moon. He says very little at most, which is enough to be heard.

I’m taking this moment to explain astrology to those that think it’s bullshit, which for me often are people with Earth signs from the zodiac wheel. Usually these people are men, and all in some weird way remind me of my 82 year old Boomer dad, who is my #1 supporter, but also a stubbornly fixed Taurus.
The Taurus', Virgos & Capricorns I have in my life, have taught me the value of making cold hard cash. These are the friends that can handle my fire and don’t exhaust easily when in my presence. I am credentialed as a yoga teacher who has had multiple careers, and skilled in networking and engagement. At this time, I consult with a modernised approach by teaching Patañjali’s 8-folded path of Ashtanga yoga philosophy, where practicing poses are only 1/8 of the total philosophy.
I teach movement from somatic based yoga asana to my clients virtually, face-to-face, and in small groups. More on my yoga teachings can be found here.
I use astrology as a RESOURCE to consult and offer expertise on where people should be putting their efforts into their personal development goals aligned with a yogic lifestyle. I teach yin-influenced, restorative yoga, with guided meditations & breath work practices for beginners & intermediate students.

Under the cloak of this New Moon's darkness, we bid farewell to the old, letting go of unnecessary baggage as we envision our future path.
The road ahead seems uncertain and rife with unexpected surprises, and amidst this chaos, we are left with a feeling of defeat.
Sure, we've gotten used to things changing at breakneck speed, but who knows what's next? It continues to feel like a rollercoaster ride, but now I'm dizzy and wondering what this continued loop-de-loop into a brave new world will bring us.
So, what's in store?
Well, the truth is, we're all in for a wild ride as many global events filled with destruction and doom, despite of having already been predicted in past decades, seem to be on our front door steps.1
As the rich continue to get richer, a burning question remains:
Why are we living in such chaos when the wealthiest, most influential people in the world have the money, means, and resources to change the narrative?
Yet they don't. Or won't. Or don't have to.
Perhaps there are enough hungry mindless zombies happy to consume from a bottomless pit of despair.
Omg, what do we do?
What we can do, and what we can practice collectively, are intention setting practices full of boundaries. For those passionate about changing the global state of affairs, be sure to incorporate some part of pushing evil forces in our world, that continue to disrupt the balance of natural order, into your personal goals and improvement plans. It’s truly a ‘safety first’ moment for our future ahead.
WTH does that even mean?
Yeah, I know…'evil forces’ sounds too Star Wars-y… maybe not the strongest reference. But we need to upgrade to speak beyond 3D language as we work together to ensure as many people are onboard this cosmic carpet ride soonest, OK?!!?
Ummm, WHO IS “WE”?
It’s you! It’s me! It’s all of us! We are all interconnected beings!! I repeatedly write about finding happiness in our polarities.
There is a vibration to our world and everything in it. We, as a species have the power to speak our minds and create change. There is a heart beat to the Earth, and a vibrating energy to plants, animals, and even, evil dictators. We know this, we feel it, and we use those energies around us to work our ‘magic’… like, Jane Goodall wrote about this stuff!
…’Magic?’ What are you talking about …
Just make sure you keep screaming to anyone that will listen: TAX THE PHUCKING RICH! #taxtherich
Progress starts with properly negotiated legislation, and there’s very little of that going on right now, nor time for it. Everyone is too busy or distracted with fighting fires or settling lawsuits. Governments globally struggle in finding a balance as class culture wars rage fuelling difficult geo-political and nationalistic environments.
So we are here to defeat the oligarchs?
Yes, or at least make these douche bags accountable for failed, exploitative late-stage capitalism that has destroyed our planet at rapid speed and further makes our species irrelevant. The top 1% could donate at least 1% of their wealth to help eradicate any distressing problem on our planet, yet the chose more yachts and real estate. This dis-ease is beyond control but can be repaired and reformed if we ACT NOW!
Ensure you do your part, in the roles you have within your networks, towards rebuilding a healthier collective narrative this year. Start first with yourself, change your own digital habits.
A couple of immediate TIPS:
Stop shopping Amazon and cancel your subscriptions!
Practice your First Amendments across your social media platforms. No matter which geographical location you dwell in, or what your opinion is, share and spend your time online wisely and with intention!

Get extra rest this weekend if possible!
New Moons are great for quiet, reflective moments. A time to be selfish and plan for self-care. Consider moments for conscious reflection, or in Dutch we say “niksen”.
Embracing a stoic mindset to accept what we cannot control, while keeping faith in what we can.
I suggest adding a touch of rebellion to mix things up, but it's wise to exercise caution to ensure you're aligning yourself with on correct side of history. I often feel bewildered in these modern, predetermined times.
taught this wisdom to me 25 years ago, and today, it saddened me to learn that she has suspended her campaign. Though, suspending it seems like a prudent strategy for the current moment. I imagine she's also weary of being cast out of false god-filled gardens.The opposition to patriarchy doesn't advocate for a female-dominated hierarchy; instead, it seeks a matriarchal governance characterised by neutrality.
If she would run as an Independent, she could make a serious comeback by representing the ‘ GenX Woman who have been in therapy since the 80s - and are also okay with discussing Witchcraft’ voice. I do believe she could stand a decent chance!
